NO -- DOUBT! -- SATAN -- DOES -- START -- BOGUS -- BUT -- FOR ALL APPEARANCES -- "CHRISTIAN CHURCHES!"
I have been studying Christian evidences, bible texts, etc., for 40+ years.
Other pages at this site will show I am fussy, particular, and precise.
I'm convinced I personally know of one large "Bible Church" headed largely, by false Christian staff members. I'm sure there are many others.
Many REAL Christian "LAY people" attend there, but are being subtly misled, and in fact, defrauded.
They are completely unsuspecting.
They are contributing a LOT of money -- TO WHAT, WHOM!
To Satan and his helpers?
Below I quote Woodrow Wilson, J. Edgar Hoover, and Psalm 2.
Taken together, they strongly show, Satan really does have the will, muscle and means, to start false "Christian" or "Bible" churches, etc.
Dallas Theological Seminary, in their doctrinal handout, "We Believe," say that Satan:
"In his ware-fare (against God) appears as an angel of light, even COUNTERFEITING the works of God by FOSTERING (FALSE) religious movements and systems of doctrine." -- (Emphasis mine)
Satan uses these to suck in many unsuspecting people, including true believers in Jesus Christ -- and then subtly pervert them in their faith, knowledge, and labors for the Lord.
Folks in small churches may see a new, big, church as attractive with its spacious parking lot, great youth program, and other amenities.
PLUS, they can get lost in the crowd, and not get talked into serving.
There are at least 10 million species of organisms on Earth, each with genetic codes in the millions, if not billions of letters (base pairs).
When compared to our great knowledge gained through development of our OWN computer/information management systems --
We know the genetic systems must have been specially CREATED
-- CODED SYSTEMS -- of the magnitude and sophistication of the genetic code system -- NEVER -- COME ABOUT -- BY ACCIDENT.
YET -- almost all the colleges and universities teach Evolution as FACT.
WHAT POWER -- keeping them in line - when the evidence is so clear for SPECIAL CREATION BY GOD!
IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THIS SAME "POWER" HAS WRAPPED ITS TENTACLES AROUND, AT LEAST SOME -- OF OUR "CHRISTIAN" CHURCHES!
We need to examine any doctrinal statements, and ask direct questions and require direct answers from church leaders.
No church is perfect -- it is always pros and cons. But we need to try.
ASK: How do we know there IS a God?
If they say, because of all the spectacular things he's MADE -- That's great. Book of Romans chapter 1 says this.
If they get wishy-washy, or philosophical, or abstract, or vague -- be very suspicious.

The real God of Jesus Christ, the Bible, Special Creation --
IS a straight male. See God is a Straight Male.
Most church teachers say God is neuter -- this is NOT what Jesus said.
Jesus repeatedly used the word "Father."
Jesus knew exactly what he was saying, and always tells the TRUTH!
GOD IS A STRAIGHT MALE! God the neuter is a complete FICTION!
So, you could pose the question to a leader, but this may be one you have to "live with."
But, realize it is God's gender which defines manhood --
His straight orientation defines womanhood--
The two together are what marriage is all about.
So, for church leaders to hold to this neuter view of God -- disqualifies them -- they are not able to correctly handle any of these subjects.
It is God's straight male person that is THE reason homosexuality is SIN.
I asked a middle-aged nurse -- a very intelligent, highly educated and capable woman --
I understood her to be a Bible believer.
I got her off alone, where no one else would hear.
I said, "Does the Bible teach God is a male?"
Her answer was immediate and certain -- "YES"!
Then I asked her, "Do you realize most Church leaders say God does NOT have gender?
Her answer was again immediate and certain -- "I GO BY THE BIBLE!"
Folks who's FINAL AUTHORITY is REALLY the Bible, often the lay folks, will answer as she did.
Folks who look to a religious, theological, system as their authority, as MOST clergy do -- will answer -- that God does not have gender.
As I noted above, this makes a world of difference in marriage counseling.
And a critical difference is authoritatively teaching homosexuality is SIN.
Before leaving this topic let me note The New Testament, John 6:37:
Jesus said, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
IT IS THE FATHER WE MUST COME TO -- not a fictional, genderless character!
We must be reconciled TO the true God, through his Son, the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Reconciliation to a make-believe god, won't cut it!
Likewise the issue of the King James Bible.
Satan's war against GOD ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY INCLUDES THE BIBLE!!!

The King James Bible New Testament is translated from the TRADITIONAL GREEK TEXT --
MODERN BIBLE VERSIONS ARE TRANSLATED FROM A DIFFERENT GREEK TEXT -- THE "CRITICAL GREEK TEXT."
The variations between the KJB and modern bibles are REAL and Serious! They are specially serious in their CUMULATIVE effect.
All churches I go to, use modern versions.
-- I follow along with the King James -- I note the differences.

Powerful people have noted the actual reality of -- secretive, POWER, existing:

I am sure President Wilson was not wildly throwing words around. He meant every word in its fullest sense.

I'm not a sports fan but we all know beating a strong opponent is big deal, as opposed to a weak opponent.

God allows himself, an immensely powerful opponent in the person of the Devil or Satan.

This POWERFUL opponent allows God to demonstrate his mighty power.

Edgar Hoover was FBI director for half a century -- 50 years -- he would know what is really going on in the world.

Former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover said:

"The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists." -- J. Edgar Hoover.

The constant drumbeat of deception from the media, is that, it's one political party vs. the other, Conservatives vs. Liberals, or it is just business and economic cycles. NOT TRUE! - Wilson and Hoover saw what was really going on, but maybe not fully so.

But, Psalm 2 would give the authoritative statement in this regard.

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Psalm 2 would include both human and demonic entities allied against God and trying to overthrow him

This would certainly be the ultimate sense of Hoover's words -- "A conspiracy so monstrous one cannot believe it exits."

And again, gives complete reason to take Wilson's word in the broadest sense.

The New Testament book of Ephesians chapter 6 makes clear our real fight is against evil spirit entities.

But human beings are very much involved.

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

PERHAPS WE WILL SEE THE RETURN OF HOME - CHURCHES.

Like I said, no church is perfect; it always is a balance between pros and cons.

But, as time goes on I have more problems of conscious or loyalty-to-Jesus issues.

If the Lord Jesus Christ "tarries" much longer, perhaps, small group, home church meetings will increase.

I did send a rather direct email to the pastor, who delivered a sermon that I though marginalized, or put-down men, and manhood. I there when he gave this message.

He said he got the email and would try to meet with me about it.

I talked with an elder at a large church about the so-called, "contemporary" music.

It seemed clear to me the music was garbage --

Just mindless, repetitive chants, just a dumbing-down trick, by my reasoning.

He said, the congregation was young folks, and that is what they thought they wanted.

I pointed out that in the infrequent occasions where they sang one of the OLD HYMNS, the volume level of singing in the whole congregation went way way up -- as best I could see this was for young and old alike!

I am convinced there is a deliberate dumbing-down -- a deliberate sabotage, ACTUALLY, of Christians.

By contrast the church with the pastor whose sermon I dislike, mentioned above --

has really very good music, lots of old hymns with lyrics that build our knowledge and faith.

Even their so-called contemporary music selection is from the 1960s or there about, and is very good too.

We need to speak up, politely, when we see stuff that is not right.
