One may web search for information about the laws of thermodynamics. 

Some references are written in rather technical language.  This is somewhat necessary to be precise.

But, I am very sure, that people who dislike Special Creation and who also fully realise these laws clearly support creation would dearly like to bury this matter under lots of complicated terminology and language.

You may come across a "Zeroth" Law which deals with thermal equilibrium.  Obviously derived after the 1st Law was already on the books.

You will also see a "Third" Law dealing with entropy in perfect crystal at absolute zero temperature.

It is good to step back, and see the big picture, the forest through the trees, and let common sense help us out.

All usable energy is stored somewhere, somehow.  No body knows what powers the stars.

But, our everyday common sense, as well as the fact the first and second laws are just that, PROVEN LAWS.

So, we surely believe, that whatever is powering the stars, (nobody knows for sure) would eventually become depleted and the stars would go out, and the universe would be dark and cold.

So, obviously, someone of great power and intelligence fueled them all up in the first place -- The Creator!

The idea of entropy (energy not available for work, loss of information, randomness) clearly points to useful design and a Designer.  Adding raw energy will not fix the entropy problem.

You could beat on a dead car battery with a hammer -- random energy will not charge it up -- you need a device, called a battery charger, made by some smart person.

Yes, you need to plug it in to get energy, but the charger, will, as it were, shove the negative charges to one terminal and the positive charges to the other terminal -- then you have organization, you have potential -- and can now start your car.

Raw energy, like from the Sun, or from weather -- wrecks things -- it will ruin the paint on you house or car after a while.  Only manufacturing or renovation by some person can fix a ruined paint job.

Sunlight alone does not make plants grow -- they have an ingeneously made system -- called photosynthesis -- made by the mighty Creator, that converts the sunlight into wood, leaves, fruit, etc.

It takes energy PLUS intelligent design to reverse entropy, as in charging a battery, or photosynthesis.

BUT, this reversal only comes at a great entropy cost somewhere else -- like in the Sun. 

You have to rob Peter to pay Paul, as the old saying goes.

All usable energy is stored somewhere -- in nuclear or chemical bonds, or somewhere, somehow, else.

That is -- to do something (called work) you must reach out and grab an already ordered package of energy, from somewhere in the universe -- to do your work.

Once you do this, the Second law (the entropy law) will render that ordered energy, unordered, and the usability of that energy package will be GONE FOREVER.  It will become waste, unrecoverable heat.

To restate -- regarding living organisms -- they, or we, already have genetic programming, and various systems, designed by the Creator, so that incoming energy in food, or sunlight is correctly handled.

If you read about these two laws, especially the 2nd Law you will encounter the question of open or closed systems.

Some will say the Laws only apply to closed systems and the universe is an open system.

First of all, know one knows whether the universe is an open of closed system.

If your car gets a scratch and you don't touch it up, the steel will rust, no matter what our system is.

The oxygen in the air will very happily combine with the iron to make iron oxide (rust) PLUS HEAT.

Waste heat is given off because it takes less energy for the oxygen and iron atoms to bond together, than in bonding with like atoms.

Here is a clear, down home, obvious example of the 2nd Law.

That waste heat is USABLE ENERGY THAT IS GONE FOREVER.  It can never be recovered or reused.

Regarding biological systems -- atoms are atoms, they don't know whether they are in your car or in your body -- they will obey the laws of physics.

You will have to do some reading, but Creation scientists say that the 2nd Law would prevent evolution from starting spontaneously in the first place.

We do know that about 1 species of organism goes extinct per year.  None has ever been seen to come into being.  Bacteria or viruses which seem to mutate to evolve immunity, really had some of their population with immunity ALREADY, and those produced a new population that is immune. 

To do mathematical calculation you must define the system mathematically.  So these calculations are set up for closed systems. 

These laws still apply to our universe as the down-home example of a scratch in your car plainly shows.

I cannot emphasise enough that these two Laws of Thermodynamics are Proved Scientific Laws and are regarded as the Premier Laws of all of science.

A simple example, as I gave of a scratch on a car, not touched up, will rust as oxygen molecules in the air and iron in the steel very happily bond together to form iron oxide (rust),

This common reaction releases heat from the chemical bonding.

The new oxygen-iron bonds require much less energy than the oxygen-oxygen and the iron-iron bonding.

This heat is wasted into the air, and cannot ever be recovered.

This heat came from the organized, designed, storage of energy in the bonds.

Here is a very clear example of the Second Law.

Entropy increases.

We see the effects of this law everywhere we look.

Things ALWAYS, wear out, run down, rot, rust, get old.  Never do things go the other way.

The universe is busy expending its supply of ordered energy.

The First Law says energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only change form.

When it does, inevitably, as the Second Law says, entropy increases.

That is, the amount of organized energy, available to do work decreases.

This is what we call DESIGN.  It cannot be explained as naturally derived. This MUST be a Created world.

There must be a mighty, supremely intelligent Creator who made everything.

The Bible says that there certainly is.
