True Christians will be caught up to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in
the air. The signs of the times say it could be very soon. Israel having been obliterated in 70AD, now re-exists, since
1948. The Sanhedrin, the ancient, supreme, Jewish ruling body, is reformed making a new Temple very near.
Regarding
the immense significance of the reformed Sanhedrin and its plans for a new Temple see Hal Lindsey’s article
in World Net Daily 2/17/2005: http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42898 -- It is hard to overstate this significance! World powers are setting
up the geopolitical situation for the rebuilding of the Jewish temple and the coming of the Man of Sin.
Psalm 2 Tells of the real
concerted, conspiratorial, effort by world rulers to overthrow God. Why do the heathen rage, and the people
imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against
his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth
in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them
in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. --
Psalm 2
Psalm
2 is NOT mere symbolism, it is absolutely real! J. Edgar
Hoover, virtually, WAS the FBI for half a century. He would know! He said, "The individual
is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists."
President Woodrow
Wilson said, “Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest
men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing are afraid of something.
They know that there is a power somewhere, so organized, so subtle, so watchful,
so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation
of it." - 1913. Psalm 2 is for absolute real!!
Romans chapter 11 says that,
blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. So Christians
must be gone before God reactivates true Israel.
God's two
programs don’t mix. The Great prophet Daniel said in chapter 9 of Daniel that 70 sabbatical weeks are granted
to Israel, after 69 weeks Christ is killed, (a gap, some say parenthesis, intervenes, which is the present Church Age),
and, one seven year Jewish week is still to come, with the Temple desecration in mid - week, by the Antichrist, the “Prince
that shall Come.”
Daniel says, Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to
finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Know therefore and understand,
that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven
weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for
himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall
be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant
with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
-- Old Testament Book of Daniel, chapter 9.
The 70 weeks are for ISRAEL, NOT, for Christians. In stunning
confirmation of Daniel 9, Jesus expected them to know the very day of his first coming.
Luke 19: And when he (Jesus) was come near, he beheld the city (Jerusalem), and wept
over it,
Saying, If thou hadst known,
even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee
in on every side,
And shall lay thee even
with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest
not the time of thy visitation.
There are
numerous web articles on the 70 weeks of Daniel, and many study bibles and commentaries have articles. The day and time in
Luke19 can be calculated from information in the Old Testament Book of Daniel, chapter 9.
2Thessalonians 2 fits with Daniel 9:
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and
by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor
by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that
is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when
I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And
now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he
who now letteth (withholds) will let (withhold), until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked
be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness
of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause
God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
But
we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen
you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the
obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. -- 2Thessalonians 2.
This passage is difficult, but there are
strong reasons to believe Christians will not be on Earth at the coming of the Man of Sin, but Matthew 24
shows that Jews will be (abomination of desolation).
The believers are scolded in the first two verses of 2Thessalonians2 for being unnerved by reports
the Day of Christ was at hand. The passage starts with, by our gathering together unto him,
which would be the Rapture, the evacuation of believers from the earth's face. This would be PRIOR to "the
Day of Christ" -- Christ's coming to the earth's surface in judgment.
We believe that years later, Christ will return to
the earth's surface in judgment. Thus, these believers would be very alarmed were this coming of Christ
to the earth be imminent.
The phrase "falling away,"
means a departure, often thought of as a departure from the true faith, but in at least one very old bible is translated,
"departure," that is the Rapture. This rendering is perfectly legitimate. I believe God can employ
the word in both senses simultaneously, to mean both a departure from the faith, and from the Earth, too!
The “Man of Sin,”
is restrained from being revealed until the “withholder” is taken out of the way. This is undoubtedly
the Holy Spirit indwelling true believers. Removing believers from the earth, would simultaneously remove the restrainer
and usher in a very great departure from the true faith. The latter parts of 2Thessalonians2 describe such.
The 70 weeks of Daniel contains
the event/concept of the "Desolation of Abomination." In Matthew 24, Jesus used this term referring to
the Daniel prophesy. It is this event which is in view in 2Thessalonians2 with the Man of Sin sitting in the Temple.
This is very strong reason Christians will have been removed
already. Daniels prophesy applies to Israel, not the Church, although there is a hiatus, a parenthesis, in the prophesy, in
which the Church age occurs.
In Revelation, AFTER chapters 2 and 3
about the Seven Churches, John is called by trumpet voice up to a magnificent scene in heaven. This is effectively the Rapture
for John and symbolically for the Church. “Elders”, crowned, seated on 24 thrones with white
garments plainly represent redeemed, rewarded, glorified, believers. From Matthew 19:28, 27:52-53, and Revelation 21:12-15
the 24 should represent Old and New Testament believers. Supremely apt, both redeemed groups await the Lamb’s
opening of the great Seven Sealed Scroll.
Chapter 4-5: After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened
in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and
I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight
like unto an emerald.
And round about
the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment;
and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there
were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in
the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
And the first
beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was
like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they
rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And when those
beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders
fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the
throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and
for thy pleasure they are and were created.
5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written
within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy
to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to
open the book, neither to look thereon.
And
I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders
saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to
loose the seven seals thereof.
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven
Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the
throne.
And when he had taken the book,
the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full
of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and
to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue,
and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne
and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying
with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and
glory, and blessing.
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such
as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that
sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth
for ever and ever. -- Book of Revelation, chapter 4,5. True believers only meet the Lord Jesus in the
air, in the Rapture! Make your reservation before it's too late!!!
