If we read the Bible in a straightforward manner, plainly the Earth is the center of attention and the heavens are accessory to, and, made for us earth dwellers.

Taking the Bible in a straightforward way is the way Jesus Christ shows us.

The sun always rises and sets, or goes down, and at least 6 verses say the earth is fixed in its position - it does not move.

Genesis 1 says:

¹⁴And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

¹⁵And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

¹⁶And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

¹⁷And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

¹⁸And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

¹⁹And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

One bible preacher said, that Heliocentricity, the theory that all the planets, including Earth, orbit the sun, "broke the back of Biblical credibility."

This Copernican Revolution plainly seriously, directly, contradicted the Biblical cosmology, thus, badly damaging the credibility of the Bible.

Heliocentrism - according to Wikipedia - "is the astronomical model in which the Earth and planets revolve around a relatively stationary Sun at the center of the Solar System."

Although the idea was proposed of as early as the 3rd century -- "It was not until the 16th century that a fully predictive mathematical model of a heliocentric system was presented, by the Renaissance mathematician, astronomer, and Catholic cleric Nicolaus Copernicus, leading to the Copernican Revolution."

"In the following century, Johannes Kepler elaborated upon and expanded this model to include elliptical orbits, and supporting observations made using a telescope were presented by Galileo Galilei."

Heliocentric model

Many many verses show the sun rising or going down, never the earth rotating.

Ephesians 4:26 - Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.

Malachi 4:2 - But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

At least a handful of verses declare that the earth is fixed, it does not move.

Psalm 93:1 - The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Psalm 96:10 - Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Psalm 104:5 - Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

I highly recommend these two videos. Try to do at least 25 minutes on the first one, but the whole thing is well worth is.

These experiments are critical in showing that the Biblical, geocentristic, model is correct. These experiments are withheld from science students

David Curtis does a great job in refuting the practice of "accomodation" or of forcing non-literal interpretations upon bible verses dealing with geocentristic truths.

I only disagree with him in his acceptance of the wrongful theological view that God does not have a body and thus, mention of God's physical parts must be taken as "anthropomorphic" or non-literal.

God is a spirit WITH A SPIRIT BODY, and he DOES have body parts, same as Jesus had in his human body. Jesus Christ WAS the express image of God in his human body.

I am a Creationist, but, not just to be a creationist -- Creation evidence corroborates Bible truths. --That's the biggy.

It is somewhat sad, though not surprising, that no large, regular, creation outfits, that I know of, teach Geocentrism.

Perhaps they don't want to risk their reputations on something that seems so far from the standard secular view.

Or lets face it, perhaps they just don't believe that ALL the Bible really IS TRUE.

"Joshua's Long Day," is a key passage for the Geocentricity model.

¹²Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lorddelivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

¹³And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

¹⁴And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.

¹⁵And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
