For the Invisible Things of HIM from the Creation of the World are CLEARLY Seen

New Testament passage Romans 1:19-20 says:

¹⁹Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

²⁰For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

I really love Robert Jamieson, A.R. Fausset, and David Brown's Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible - 1871 (JFB) - on Romans 1.

I do include the JFB text down the page.

I am happy for the 1871 publication date because I believe I'm accessing men whose mindsets predate the tsunami of garbage-thinking that Darwin's Evolution has unleashed on our academic, scientific, and literary world.

Regarding Romans 1:19-20 the JFB commentary astutely, concisely, shows that God has placed the certain, intuitive, reality, of God, INSIDE, INTERNAL, to our OWN breasts.

The old saying is, "There are NO atheists in fox holes!" -- IS this basically true? I'd say, mostly. But there probably are a few who hold-out to the bitter end.

I do recall a TV interview of a death-row prison worker who remarked of those approaching scheduled execution, "They all become Christians!"

AND, that creation evidences, EXTERNAL, combine with the INTERNAL, to make it a CERTAINTY, GOD IS REALLY, REAL.

It's just like on jury duty, testimonies PLUS good corroborating physical evidences COMBINE to produce a convinced jury.

Romans 1:19-20:

In slang terms -- it's a "slam dunk." We know perfectly well -- we have NO excuse!

The rest of Romans, about chapters 1-12 says everyone is in big trouble with God, and needs the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, urgently. It is imperative!

Romans chapter 10 gives great help for those seeking salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:

1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

²For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

³For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
