Many Americans view the recent hordes of children flooding across our southern border, and other
such related, and undoubtedly deliberate, shenanigans on the part of evil forces, as tremendous calamities.
While they likely will be such, the Bible reminds us of our calling to reach out to all with the saving Gospel of
Jesus Christ.
The New Testament Passage, 2 Corinthians 5, reminds us God calls us believers to
be Ambassadors of Him.
2 Corinthians 5:
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to
us the ministry of reconciliation;
19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath
committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled
to God.
21 For he hath made
him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
We must in-spite of our alarm and discomfort reach out to this mission field that seems to
be coming to us in the form of illegal children immigrants.
It
is NOT their faults. Many are likely, scared, abused, displaced and needy.
Some
of them may write home when they can, so we should treat them right.
