Leo Hohmann, author, starts by saying:

"Health professionals are warning of a “humanitarian crisis” festering in Texas and Arizona as a result of unchecked border crossings of illegal-immigrant children into border communities.

Cramped conditions and the spread of difficult-to-treat diseases has doctors worried in the wake of a massive influx of children coming across the Mexican-U.S. border, many of them from Central and South America. Outbreaks of scabies, lice, dengue fever, tuberculosis and other diseases – many of them contagious – are already being documented among the children and in some border agents who work among them.

“President Obama’s non-enforcement immigration doctrine seemingly invites illegal border crossings, which brings with it a wave of illnesses and diseases that have long been stamped-out in America,” Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., told WND.

Gingrey, a 30-year practicing physician, said the threat posed to American families is very real."

Many Americans view the recent hordes of children flooding across our southern border, and other such related, and undoubtedly deliberate, shenanigans on the part of evil forces, as tremendous calamities.

While they likely will be such, the Bible reminds us of our calling to reach out to all with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The New Testament Passage, 2 Corinthians 5, reminds us God calls us believers to be Ambassadors of Him.

2 Corinthians 5:

¹⁷Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

¹⁸And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

¹⁹To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

²⁰Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

²¹For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We must in-spite of our alarm and discomfort reach out to this mission field that seems to be coming to us in the form of illegal children immigrants.

It is NOT their faults. Many are likely, scared, abused, displaced and needy.

Some of them may write home when they can, so we should treat them right.

Someone said that if God did not punish the U. S. for our sins, he would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

I think, this is exactly what God thinks, too.

As we read the news we must wonder, if we are not doomed to die by 1000 paper cuts - so manifold are the attacks.

Perhaps we immediately think of abortion, or fixate on some flashy sin that is rampant in our country.

In my view the general disregard of God's distinctive, differential, purposes for the two sexes TOPS the list.

Of course, this has become so absolutely commonplace we completely overlook it, and regard it as nothing.
