Thank God for his wonderful promises of sure salvation for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 6: 29 Jesus answered
and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. 30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that
we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? 31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from
heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34
Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never
hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and
him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath
sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me,
that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I often cite the Old Testament Prophet Daniel. He was a captive in evil
Babylon, but was faithful to God, and God mightily protected him and used him. Daniel 2:39-49
shows the demons (iron) and evil humans (clay) teamed up against God and his people. But, God's
righteous kingdom will triumph and stand forever. Daniel 2: 37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom,
power, and strength, and glory. 38
And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine
hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. 39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third
kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. 40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth
all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. 41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes,
part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron,
forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the
kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of
men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God
of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall
break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain
without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made
known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. 46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and
worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. 47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth
it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. 48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him
many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men
of Babylon. 49 Then Daniel
requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel
sat in the gate of the king.

1 Thessalonians 4 gives the wonderful promise of our Lord's coming in the pre-tribulation Rapture. 1Thessalonians 4: 13 But
I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which
have no hope. 14 For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Lord rescued Noah and his family, shutting them into the Ark BEFORE he brought
the terrible judgement of the Flood. Genesis 7: And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark;
for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. 2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that
are not clean by two, the male and his female. 3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of
all the earth. 4 For yet
seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have
made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. 5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord
commanded him. 6 And Noah
was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. 7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the
ark, because of the waters of the flood. 8
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, 9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the
male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second
month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows
of heaven were opened. 12 And
the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife,
and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; 14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. 15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two
and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded
him: and the Lord shut him in. 17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the
waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went
upon the face of the waters. 19
And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were
covered. 20 Fifteen cubits
upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. 21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of
beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: 22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was
in the dry land, died. 23 And
every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things,
and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with
him in the ark. 24 And
the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
Likewise, God led Lot and his wife and two daughters out of Sodom, BEFORE, he rained
down judgement. His wife disobeyed God in looking back, and was turned into a pillar of
salt. Genesis 19: 1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even;
and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the
ground; 2 And he said, Behold
now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise
up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in
unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. 4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even
the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where
are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the
door after him, 7 And
said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto
you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of
my roof. 9 And they said,
Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse
with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot
into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great:
so that they wearied themselves to find the door. 12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters,
and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: 13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before
the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it. 14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get
you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city.
But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. 15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy
two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon
the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord
being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. 17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad,
that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest
thou be consumed. 18 And
Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: 19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight,
and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain,
lest some evil take me, and I die: 20
Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?)
and my soul shall live. 21
And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for
the which thou hast spoken. 22
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called
Zoar. 23 The sun was
risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. 24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom
and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of
heaven; 25 And he overthrew
those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. 26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she
became a pillar of salt. 27
And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: 28
And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the
country went up as the smoke of a furnace. 29
And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the
midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. 30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters
with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
