EYE-OPENER Tract - 200 Text Differences (1100 words) - King James New Testament versus Modern Bibles

The King James Bible New Testament is translated from the Tradition Greek Text, whereas, virtually all modern bibles use the Critical Greek text.

This makes for about 1100 words of difference in the New Testament, according to my word count, based on the list in the Eye Opener Tract and other sources.

Many of these are serious differences, especially so, to serious bible students, which we ALL should be.

Many of the others may appear minor, but they have a serious cumulative impact.

The other available old bible, the Geneva Bible is also based on the Traditional Text.

Biblegateway.com has the above mentioned bibles plus many more for viewing.

The New Eye Opener Tract, has actually been around quite a while.

There are other serious issues regarding this textual problem.

I am convinced the Traditional text has a very greatly superior claim to authenticity.

The English word differences are due to differences in the underlying text, although there are translation differences too.

In Matthew 4:4 the Lord Jesus Christ says:

It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Thus, we are told we DO need EVERY WORD OF GOD.

And, the Scriptures thus clearly tell us that EVERY WORD IS available - that is, God has providentially brought it down through history, and we should not settle for just some of those words.

In Matthew 5:18 The Lord Jesus Christ says:

¹⁸For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ is speaking in terms of the Old Testament Law, and does make clear all will be fulfilled.

Again, we should expect all of it to be providentially brough down to us through God's providence.

It is terribly naive of us to buy the "cover story" that modern bible makers are just trying to make the bible "more readable."

The DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS, as the old saying goes.

We could be nice and say that each publisher is looking at the "bottom line" and competing with other publishers.

Maybe we could say it is as though each is trying to be more politically correct, and saleable, than the competition.

But truth is the Devil is trying hard to corrupt, confuse, dumb-down, bible readers and wreak evil.

Many of the King James Bible interest-pages, will have lists of Old Testament verses that differ too.

Clear miracles in the King James are often handled ambiguously in the modern bibles, so you cannot exactly tell whether it is a miracle, or just an unusual, normal occurrence.

Likewise, gender distinctions, clear in the King James, are somewhat blurred in the modern bibles.

Likewise issues of Salvation, the hereafter, the deity of Jesus Christ, and similar doctrinal things become less clear in the modern versions.

Willingness to fudge or side-step God's Biblically clear, male, gender, which is ingrained by seminaries in new Christian leaders, goes hand in hand with Satan's efforts to corrupt the Bible through modern bibles.

The King James Bible comes out of the thick of the protestant reformation.

This was a huge, huge, movement of God, like the sun bursting through the storm clouds.

The King James Bible comes from the zenith and excellence of the Golden Age of Literature.

Psalm 1:

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

²But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

³And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

⁴The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

⁵Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

⁶For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
