I attended the Plattsburgh Air Force Base NY, Chapel, for a while in the 1970s.
The lady Sunday School Superintendent asked me to join a class to be a "male role model."
I said, "Sure, glad I could help out."
But, when I got home and I started thinking about
it - oops.
I realised I did not have a clue what a "male role model" WAS!
I immediately sent emergency prayers up to God.
Thus, begun a serious
quest for the true answer.
I am very very certain - it has been a God tutored
and guided quest as God answered my urgent prayers.
God's basic answer is that, in the Bible, he
speaks truthfully and accurately and that he is, HIMSELF, the true and ultimate, actual, male being,
and that he IS, himself, the very true definition of manhood. This came to me quickly.
God gave me his basic answer quickly and I was able to do the classes, and also, because I was knowledgeable
in the Bible, and as a Creationist, convinced of its accuracy and truthfulness.
specify that I mean the King James and Geneva Bibles. I am NOT so convinced concerning other bibles. The Devil
is definitely in the details.
So, this God-guided quest of mine for true gender meanings should be of urgent
concern to many today.
Many will be shocked as I boldly say that only
men are the image of God - God is a straight male and womanhood is hetero to God
- that is the opposite sex - and this is critical to defining God as straight.
God is a spirit WITH a spirit body and he has male body parts, being the ultimate, true, male
The standard, extremely common, heresy is that God has no body, and thus no actual
God has made it clear to me that this is WRONG - God DOES have
a male, spirit, body.
Exodus 31:18 shows God has a finger with which, he wrote the 10 commandments.
Exodus 33:18-33 is the famous passage where God puts Moses in the clift of a rock. We are specifically
told, by God, the he, God, has a hand, back parts, and a face. These are actual events, NOT,
Now, I want to look at Genesis chapters 1 and 2 and the critical, and often overlooked context.
I want to again emphasise that the woman is special, uniquely epitomizing God's hetero orientation.
People tend to jump to a wrong conclusion, when I say that women are NOT in the image of God.
She is NOT, as it were, redundant, in being another image of God.
Genesis 1:26,27, in the King James, and I think in the Geneva Bible, also, is very succinct
in showing the man, only, is in the image of God, but that God is creator of both man and woman.
Womanhood is critical in showing that God is a straight guy and in embodying this aspect of God's person.
The context of chapter 2 MUST be studied to confirm that this IS the case.
26 And God
said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Note: This is a very PRECISE statement - it is "HIM"
who is the IMAGE of God, BUT it is the "THEM" that God created. The NIV bible, and perhaps
others falsify this passage eliminating this crucial distinction.
THIS EXACT SAME SITUATION OCCURS IN GENESIS 5:1,2:
5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day
that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed
them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
are TWO VERY SPECIFIC STATEMENTS CONFIRMING THAT THE MAN ONLY IS IMAGE OF GOD, BUT THE WOMAN IS ALSO, IMPORTANTLY,
SPECIALLY, HUMAN, TOO.
However, we MUST look at the context of chapter 2 to confirm
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and
all the host of them.
on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified
it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when
they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the
earth and the heavens,
every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till
there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord
God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
NOTE: The narrative
DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY PROCEED WITH THE CREATION OF THE WOMAN, BUT RATHER, THE NARRATIVE GOES ON TO TALK OF OTHER
THINGS, THE TREES OF THE GARDEN, THE RIVERS, THE PRECIOUS MINERALS, AND INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING THE TREES.
of the man, THE IMAGE OF GOD, is COMPLETE, except for losing a rib. The two creations are
related, but SEPARATE acts of creation.
8 And the Lord God planted a
garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in
the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was
parted, and became into four heads.
name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium
and the onyx stone.
Should the nut be angry since it is not a bolt?
Are not the nut and bolt both special and unique in the creator's purpose? Doesn't God know best?
13 And the name of the second river is
Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the
east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the Lord God took the
man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord
God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt
not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Finaly, God brings up the subject of the man's need for a help meet.
IS MAKING A HELP MEET FOR THE MAN!
HE IS NOT MAKING ANOTHER
IMAGE OF GOD!
THE IMAGE OF GOD WAS ALREADY COMPLETED
WITH ADAM, EXCEPT FOR THE MISSING RIB.
18 And the Lord God said, It
is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see
what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the
fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
NOTE: Now God specifically makes the woman.
NOTE: GOD IS
MAKING A HELP MEET FOR THE MAN!
HE IS NOT MAKING ANOTHER IMAGE OF
THE IMAGE OF GOD WAS ALREADY COMPLETED
WITH ADAM, EXCEPT FOR THE MISSING RIB.
21 And the Lord God caused a
deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and
shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
