“The Rosetta Stone is an Ancient Egyptian artifact which was instrumental in advancing modern understanding of hieroglyphic writing. The stone is a Ptolemaic era stele with carved text.

The text is made up of three translations of a single passage, written in two Egyptian language scripts (hieroglyphic and Demotic), and in classical Greek.

It was created in 196 BC, discovered by the French in 1799 at Rosetta, a harbor on the Mediterranean coast in Egypt, and contributed greatly to the decipherment of the principles of hieroglyphic writing in 1822 by the British polymath Thomas Young and the French scholar Jean-François Champollion.

Comparative translation of the stone assisted in understanding many previously undecipherable examples of hieroglyphic writing. The text of the Rosetta Stone is a decree from Ptolemy V, describing the repealing of various taxes and instructions to erect statues in temples."

One glance at the Rosetta Stone tells us the maker must have had something important to say.  Likewise in the case of our elegantly created world. 

With the Rosetta Stone we see this in the neat repetition of the same message in three different languages. 

Regarding this world, powerful evidence shows the Bible is God’s instruction book. 

The sheer massiveness of surviving ancient manuscript evidence provides powerful substantiation. 

More than 10,000 ancient, handwritten Bible texts remain, as manuscripts, in old church service books, or as quotations in writings of churchmen.  99% of NT texts agree to 90%, 90% agree to 97%.

The ingenious design of the Bible provides a very strong argument, too.

The Bible is at once, SIXTY-SIX books, and yet truly, ONE BOOK.

The great scholar, CI Scofield said: 

“From Genesis the Bible bears witness to one God. 

Wherever He speaks or acts he is consistent with himself, and with the total revelation concerning Him. 

The Bible forms one continuous story --the story of humanity in relation to God.

The Bible hazards the most unlikely predictions concerning the future, and, when the centuries have brought round the appointed time, records their fulfillment. 

The Bible is a progressive unfolding of truth. 

Nothing is told all at once, and once for all.  The law is, “First the blade, then the ear, after that the full grain.” 

Without the possibility of collusion, often with centuries between, one writer of Scripture takes up an earlier revelation, adds to it, lays down the pen, and in due time another man moved by the Holy Spirit, and another, and another, add new details till the whole is complete. 

From beginning to end the Bible testifies to one redemption.  The Bible has one great theme--the Person and work of Christ. 

Finally, these writers, some forty in number, writing through twenty centuries, have produced a perfect harmony of doctrine in progressive unfolding.

The Bible shows that sin and death entered the world in the Garden of Eden and has infected all humans.

Redemption, also called salvation, is absolutely imperative for all people.
