I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out
of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus20
In his excellent book, Robert Gentry (Halos.com), in explaining his personal quest for God's truth, cites the 10 Commandment passage in Exodus 20.
He points out, as someone pointed out to him, that here in Exodus 20,
God DIRECTLY compares the six regular days, he was telling the Israelites to work, with the six days,
that he used in his own construction of the entire universe and all that it contains.
This means, God's six days of creating EVERYTHING, were, thus, necessarily SIX regular days, TOO!!!
This resulted in a great challenge to Gentry, who initially believed in an old cosmos, but was led, in his quest,
by the sheer weight of evidence, to firmly believe God did indeed, make everything in six regular days, and rested on the
Robert Gentry's great life work involved investigation of very tiny Polonium
218 (a radioactive element) damage spheres in some of the minerals in Precambrian granites. These spheres are caused
by the radioactive discharges of the element.
Polonium 218 has a very short half life
of just 3 minutes. The rock must be solid for the spherical damage patterns to be made.
Thus, God must have formed these granites very quickly, probably instantly, so the Polonium 218 could produce
the damage spheres before becoming extinct.
Gentry's web site, and his excellent book,
Creation's Tiny Mystery are very well worth reading. SEE his excellent site -- (Halos.com).

OBSERVATION!!! -- Please NOTE the CONTEXT -- divided into six days, plus a rest day!!!
The context of Genesis 1:1-2:3 is plainly divided into
the six days God used to make the entire universe and everything in it, PLUS, the seventh day he rested.
Genesis 2:1-3 says:
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested
on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Some modern Bibles, badly, word,
Genesis 1 & 2 so as to obscure this. It takes some sleuthing to get at the truth.
Robert Gentry's great work, plus the fact that in both
Exodus 20 and Genesis 1-2, God finishes his making of the whole universe, and all that it contains, in six days, and
rests the seventh, provide clear proof to the truth that God made everything in six regular days.
