WE HAVE NO GUARENTTEE OF HOW LONG WE WILL LIVE; WE NEED TO BE READY ALWAYS! |
The word "saved" speaks of a "done, deal," the idea of completed history.
An historical act cannot be retracted and changed -- it's a "done deal." The Blue Letter Bible (BLB) shows many verses using the underlying Greek word for "saved", sō'-zō, so we can
study its usage in normal contexts, and BLB also, defines the word as follows: 1) to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction a) one (from injury or peril) 1)
to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health 1) to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue b) to save in the technical biblical sense 1) negatively a) to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic
judgment b) to save from the evils which obstruct the reception
of the Messianic deliverance. We should note that it applies both
to protection from earthly dangers as well from God's judgement. So,
it is a regular word, not some abstract religious concept. I am
reminded of Jesus' words in the New Testament Gospel of John 3: 3Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can
a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. A spirit birth of God is required and, once done, it cannot be reversed. The Apostle Paul and his co-worker Silas, having been released from Jail by an earthquake, answer the Jailer's question
(in my article title) and, also, as recorded in the New Testament book of Acts 16:30-34: 30And (the jailer) brought them out, and said, Sirs, what
must I do to be saved? 31And they
said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all
his, straightway. 34And when he had brought them into his
house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. How comforting
that his whole house was saved, being instructed in the word of the Lord, by Paul and Silas, and believing, they
are baptised. We should note Jesus' words in John 6, that "believing"
is an earnest thing: 28Then said they unto him, What shall
we do, that we might work the works of God? 29Jesus
answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. For case studies of three men who came to Jesus Christ right before our eyes see my page THEY CAME TO JESUS!

Normally read at Christmas, the wonderful news of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ,
the Savior, is announced by the Herold Angels, and is recorded in the New Testament book of Luke, chapter 2: 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by
night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory
of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And
the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. The New Testament book of Ephesians chapter 1 tells us, that upon believing, we are SEALED to, or, in,
our salvation by God's Holy Spirit . This is our EARNEST, just
like one puts earnest money as a down payment on a house or other expensive purchase, so the Holy Spirit is God's down payment
on us: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first
trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also
trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which
is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus,
and love unto all the saints, 16Cease
not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18The
eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the
glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19And
what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and
set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far
above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also
in that which is to come:

NOAH'S FLOOD WAS GOD'S, NO-FOOLING WARNING OF THE FINAL JUDGEMENT! -- NOAH'S ARK PICTURES SALVATION! |
Noah's Ark makes a great picture of people being saved. Noah,
his three sons, and their wives, 8 persons all together were on board, along with all the animals. ALL THEY HAD TO DO, TO GET SAVED, WAS GET ON BOARD. IT'S THE SAME FOR US WITH JESUS. There were NO other requirements to be saved from God's terrible judgement of the great Genesis Flood. The Genesis Flood (Noah's Flood) was a great warning-shot regarding God's final judgement. With Noah's Flood, God put us earthlings ON-NOTICE -- BIG TIME! 20Which
sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein
few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21The
like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer
of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22Who
is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. NOTE:
The Apostle Peter, who, humanly speaking, penned the above three verses, points to water baptism as the normal symbol
and token of salvation in Jesus Christ, by faith in him. Genesis chapter 7: 10And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month,
the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13In
the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his
sons with them, into the ark; 14They, and every beast after his kind, and
all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after
his kind, every bird of every sort. 15And they went in unto Noah into the
ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. 16And they
that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and THE LORD SHUT HIM IN. THE
